Our editorial standards and corrections policy

How guides are prepared.

Guides help founders organise practical decisions about naming, formation and domains. Preparation may use AI assistance for drafting and structure. We check factual claims against official authorities or the provider responsible for the information, distinguish original fictional examples from real records, and link the sources readers can inspect.

16 current guides have a recorded review by Thomas O’Sullivan, company formation expert and writer, dated 9 October 2026. The operator confirmed completion of that review. Each guide identifies its reviewer, date and scope. This does not claim solicitor or accountant accreditation. New or materially changed procedural guidance stays excluded from production indexing until its required review is recorded.

Sources, dates and change control.

Publication, material-update and source-check dates describe different actions. A source-check date changes after checking the source. We update the content date after a significant correction or change, rather than refreshing dates automatically to make an old page look new.

Prices, provider inclusions and processing information need frequent checks; evergreen explanations receive periodic review. If the exact current processing queue or retail domain quote is not verified, we direct readers to the responsible organisation rather than substitute an old number.

Educational examples and limits.

Example names, scenarios and budget calculations are expressly fictional. A register match is not approval; no match does not settle registration or trade-mark rights; a domain suggestion is not a confirmed purchase opportunity. Guides provide general information, and the authority or appropriate adviser should resolve questions specific to your circumstances.

Corrections and commercial relationships.

Report the page, claim and supporting public source by email. Avoid sending private identity information. We examine reported errors and update the affected source notes and dates. We separate editorial information from promotion and explain the three-provider shortlist and links in our comparison methodology and disclosure.
